Obituary

Georgetown: Mr. Willie C. Morris, 93 passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late David E. Morris and Marion Shaw Todd. Mr. Morris was a veteran of the Army Air Corps; where he served in World War II as an air craft welder for the 404th Bomber Squadron. Most of his working years were with International Paper Company where he was a certified welder for 40 years, a member of Quarter Century Club, retired in 1988. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, working in his backyard shop, planting vegetable gardens, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed people and looked forward to greeting them with some candy. He was a devoted member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. A funeral service with military honors will be held at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2016 at the Georgetown Church of Christ officiating will be Mr. Fred Ady. Entombment will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Georgetown Church of Christ one hour prior to the service from ten until eleven o'clock. Surviving are two sons, William C. Morris of Pawleys Island, David E. Morris (Tracy) of Georgetown, one daughter, Kay M. Kazmerowski of Georgetown, four grandchildren, Angela M. Gallup (Clay) of Pawleys Island, Carrie E. Wilson (Lorenzo) of Murrells Inlet, Wesley C. Morris and Madison C. Morris both of Georgetown, two great-grandchildren, Ruthie Morris of Aynor and Lillian Gallup of Pawleys Island, two brothers, Fred J. Morris, Sr. (Bobbie) of North Myrtle Beach and Cleo Todd of Myrtle Beach. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Mrs. Authenia ["Teenie"] A. Morris, and two brothers, George "Winks" Morris of Stevensville, MD and David C. ["DC"] Morris of Murrells Inlet. Memorials may be made to Georgetown Church of Christ at P.O.
