Patrick T. Ethridge

Patrick is a native of Georgetown, SC. Patrick is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a graduate from Clemson University with a Master's Degree in Business majoring in Human Resource. Patrick is a Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and a Certified Crematory Operator since 1996. Patrick has been affiliated with Mayer Funeral Home for over 20 years and is a member of Winyah Lodge #40. His hobbies include spending time with his family and hunting big game.


Charles Miles
Funeral Director & Embalmer License # 2013 Manager - Downtown Chapel, Maryville Chapel
Charles is a 1988 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, and has been dual licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in SC since 1989. He has been active in the SC Funeral Directors Association, and also holds his Funeral Service License for North Carolina.
Charles is a native of Darlington, SC, and is a past president of the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce in Marion, SC, where he spent 10 years. He enjoys golf and Clemson Football, but mostly boating, and even lives on his houseboat full-time with his dog, Sami.

Robert "Bob" T. Mayer Jr.
Funeral Director License # 1255 Advisor
Bob Mayer is a native of Georgtown, SC and is married to Margaret Crayton Mayer of Georgetown. They have three children and six grandchildren. Bob is a graduate of Winyah High School and Clemson University. Bob served in the US Army and SC Army National Guard. He obtained the rank of Captain in the Army Reserve. After returning from the military service, Bob went to work for his family's Business, Mayer Funeral Home. Bob was formerly an active member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes and the SC Funeral Directors Association, and served two terms as it's Chairman of the Pee Dee Group. He is a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Georgetown and has served his church as a former Chairman of the Administrative Board and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Bob's other memberships include the Rotary Club of Georgetown and the Winyah Indigo Society. Bob's hobbies include fishing and Clemson football.

William "Eddie" E. Vick IV

Eddie is a native of Lancaster, SC. Eddie currenlty resides in Murrells Inlet, SC. He is a graduate from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science class of 1968. Eddie has worked in the funeral industry for over 50 years and employed with Mayer Funeral Home for over 40 years. Eddie is a member of Winyah Lodge #40, South Carolina Funeral Director Association and "CANA" Cremation Association of North America. Eddie is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, Preneed Counselor, SC Limited Life Insurance Licensee and a Certified Crematory Operator. Eddie's hobbies include spending time with family, friends, a good cup of tea and Clemson football.

Ashley Miller

Ashley is a 2023 graduate of the Piedmont Technical College Funeral Director Program and is currently serving her apprenticeship. She is a member of Leadership Georgetown County Class 30.
Ashley is a native of Horry County, and lives in Georgetown with her husband, Jamie, and their two children. Her hobbies include reading, boating, and social gatherings with friends and family.

Elizabeth "Liz" Benjamin

Elizabeth "Liz" Benjamin, originally from Georgia, currently resides in Conway, South Carolina. She has been married for 22 years to her husband, Brad , who is a USMC Veteran and currently works for GCFE. Together, they have four children. Liz holds a degree in Business Management and has nearly 10 years of experience in this field. In 2025, she became a Funeral Home Director and Embalmer Dual Apprentice and is currently serving at Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home in Maryville. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, riding motorcycles with her husband, and taking her French Bulldogs along for rides in her Jeep.

Sally Porter Zeigler
Accounting Professional
Sally is a native of Georgetown, is married to Bill Zeigler, and has a grown son. Sally is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and is a retired CPA. She is a life-long member of Duncan United Methodist church and a former member of their choir. Her hobbies include reading voraciously and spending time with her family and dogs.

Rodney is a native of Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School in 1967. He served in the US Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He is a member of the VFW and Post Commander of the American Legion Post 114. Rodney has been involved with youth sports and American Legion Baseball in Georgetown all of his life. He retired from Georgetown Steel Corporation after 43 years of service. He is an active member of Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church. Rodney is married to Ellen McConnell Ward and they have two Children and four grandchildren.

Jimmy is a native of Georgetown County and grew up in Andrews, SC. Jimmy graduated from Andrews High School. After graduating from High School, Jimmy enlisted in the US Air Force. Jimmy is married to Gayle Thigpen Taylor. They have a combined family with one son and three daughters, sixteen grandchildren, and three great-grands. Jimmy and Gayle are members of Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness church. Jimmy has been with Mayer Funeral Home for many years. His hobbies include spending time with his family and watching Gamecock football.
